If your projector is auto-shutting after 5-15 minutes, fan running flat-out, or the front-panel temperature LED is flashing red, the cooling system is struggling. The cause is usually three things stacked: clogged dust filter, dried thermal paste on the lamp housing, and a slowing or grinding fan.

On-site teardown and clean
We open the projector at your address, remove the lamp housing, blow out the dust filter, vacuum the heatsink fins, and inspect fan bearings and impeller blades for wear.
Thermal renewal
Old thermal paste between lamp ballast and heatsink scraped clean and replaced with fresh high-thermal-conductivity paste. Filter replaced if it cannot be washed.
Hour-long burn-in test
We run the projector for 60 minutes after the service to confirm the temperature stays within spec. You pay only after the auto-shutdown stops.

Almost always heat. The thermal sensor inside the lamp housing trips the safety cutoff when temperature crosses 70-80°C. Causes: dust mat across the intake filter, dried thermal paste on the lamp ballast, slowing fan, or cooling-vent obstruction (curtains, books, ceiling-mount enclosure). Internal cleaning fixes 80% of cases.
Yes. A 5-year-old projector in a typical Hyderabad office can pull half a teaspoon of dust into the filter every month. After 18-24 months of no cleaning, the filter is so clogged that air can't reach the lamp — which is a 200-watt heater inside a sealed chassis. Thermal cutoff at 10-15 minutes is normal at that point.

Cleaning and thermal-paste work doesn't need our workshop — we open the bottom panel, remove the filter, vacuum the heatsink, swap the thermal paste, refit and burn-in test, all in your office or home in 60-90 minutes. Only board-level thermal-sensor failure needs the workshop.
If your projector is still under manufacturer warranty (typically 2 years), call the brand service centre first. Once warranty has expired, third-party servicing is standard practice. We open carefully, document each step, and use OEM-grade thermal compound. The 30-day return-visit warranty applies to our work, regardless.

Almost certainly. Three sounds tell you it's the fan: grinding (bearing wear), ticking (blade clipping the housing), or whining (bearing dry). All three need fan replacement, not cleaning. ₹2,000-₹4,500 fitted, including the cleaning. We bring common fan sizes on the first visit — WhatsApp the model and we confirm.
Yes. Repeated thermal cutoffs stress the lamp envelope (risk of explosive failure), the lamp ballast (capacitor degradation), and the colour wheel motor (bearing wear at high temp). One or two cutoffs is fine — but if it's been happening for weeks, get it serviced before something downstream fails and turns a ₹1,500 cleaning into a ₹7,000 board-level repair.
