₹149 visit charge + free diagnosis
Pricing & Cost

What does projector repair actually cost in Hyderabad?

Real ranges by repair type, what the ₹149 visit charge buys, and where No Fix No Fee kicks in.

  • How much does projector repair cost in Hyderabad?

Most projector repairs in Hyderabad land between ₹1,500 and ₹15,000 fitted, with the bulk clustered around ₹3,000-₹8,000. Lamp replacements range ₹3,000-₹12,000 depending on UHP wattage. Fan, cleaning and image-dust jobs are ₹800-₹2,500. Color wheel and DLP chip work runs ₹5,000-₹15,000. Lens unit replacement ₹6,000-₹20,000. WhatsApp the model code for an exact quote before we dispatch.

  • What does the ₹149 visit charge cover?

The ₹149 covers the doorstep call, on-site diagnosis with a portable bench rig, and a clear written quote on WhatsApp. If you proceed with the repair, the ₹149 is waived and rolled into the bill. If you don't, that's all you pay. No surprise inspection fees, no parts swapped without your sign-off, no while-we-are-here upgrades.

  • Do you charge if you can't fix the projector?

No labour or parts charge if we can't fix the original fault. That's our No Fix, No Fee rule, in writing on every quote. The ₹149 visit charge still applies because the tech and the parts kit travelled to you, but nothing else gets billed for an unsolved job. We'll also recommend whether replacement is the smarter call so you're not throwing good money after bad.

  • Are your prices for genuine OEM parts or compatible parts?

Genuine OEM is our default. Lamps come from authorised distributors, color wheels and DLP chips from the manufacturer's parts channel. Compatible aftermarket lamps are available at 30-50% lower cost on request, but we flag the trade-off (shorter life, weaker colors). The choice stays with you, marked clearly on the quote. Both options carry our 30-day warranty.

  • How much does a projector lamp cost in Hyderabad?

A genuine OEM projector lamp costs ₹2,500 to ₹15,000 in Hyderabad depending on brand and model. Compatible non-OEM lamps run ₹1,800 to ₹6,500. Most home and education projectors land between ₹3,500 and ₹6,500 fitted; cinema and laser-phosphor units are higher. The fitting visit is ₹149 and is waived if you proceed with the repair.

  • How much does color wheel replacement cost?

₹2,500-₹6,500 fitted. Standard 4-segment RGBW wheels on portable BenQ, Optoma and Acer projectors are ₹2,500-₹4,000. 6-segment RGBYW wheels on professional InFocus and ViewSonic units are ₹4,000-₹6,500. If the bearing isn't yet shaft-on-housing, a clean and re-lube (₹1,500-₹3,500) recovers it in roughly 6 in 10 cases. WhatsApp the model code for an exact quote.

  • How much does DLP chip replacement cost in Hyderabad?

₹10,000-₹20,000 fitted depending on resolution. XGA DMD chips ₹10,000-₹13,000. WXGA and 1080p ₹13,000-₹17,000. 4K UHD (XPR-shifted DMD) ₹17,000-₹20,000. We try BGA reflow (₹6,000-₹10,000) first since it recovers most cases without chip replacement.

  • How much does LCD panel replacement cost?

₹4,500-₹12,000 per panel fitted. Lower end for small-format Epson EB / EH series, higher end for large-format Panasonic PT-RZ and Sony VPL-FH series. 3LCD projectors have three panels and sometimes more than one needs replacing in the same job. Polariser-only work (yellow blob, pink cast) is cheaper at ₹1,200-₹2,800 per panel.

  • How much does projector motherboard repair cost?

₹2,500-₹6,000 for power-board capacitor and regulator work. ₹3,500-₹9,000 for logic-board chip-level repair (BGA reflow, controller MCU work, firmware re-flash). ₹6,000-₹18,000 for full board replacement when component-level repair isn't viable. We try component-level repair first since it saves ₹5,000-₹10,000 on most boards.

  • Is projector repair worth it on a 5+ year old unit?

Depends on the cost ratio. If the repair quote is more than 50% of a comparable new projector, replacement is cheaper. Boardroom and education projectors with high lamp hours usually justify the repair well past warranty. Home cinema units often don't. We'll lay out both numbers honestly during diagnosis so you can decide without sales pressure.

Lamps & Light Source

Lamp life, replacement signals, sourcing for old models

The most-asked projector category. Hours, codes, OEM versus compatible, what to do when the lamp warning lights up.

  • How long does a projector lamp last and when should I replace it?

Standard projector lamps last 2,000-4,000 hours in normal mode and 4,000-6,000 hours in eco mode. Replace when brightness has dropped below 50% of new (visible darkness), the image goes pinkish, or the lamp warning LED comes on. Most projectors show lamp hours under Menu / Information / Lamp Counter. WhatsApp the count and we'll tell you whether to plan it for next month or next week.

  • How do I check my projector lamp hours?

On most projectors the lamp-hours counter sits inside the on-screen menu under Settings, then Information or Lamp Status. The typical rated lamp life is 2,000 hours in Normal mode and 3,000 hours in Eco mode. If the on-screen warning has triggered or the picture has gone visibly dim, the lamp is at end-of-life regardless of the counter. WhatsApp the model code and we will tell you the exact menu path.

  • Do you source lamps for old or discontinued projector models?

Yes, including discontinued Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Sanyo, EIKI and older Sony VPL / Panasonic PT models. Lead time is 2-7 working days for rare lamps via authorised distributor networks. For models where the OEM lamp is no longer made, we flag compatible bare-lamp options and let you decide. WhatsApp the lamp code (e.g. ELPLP67, 5J.J3K05.001, NP15LP) for sourcing confirmation.

  • Do you use genuine OEM lamps or compatible lamps?

Both, you choose. Genuine OEM lamps cost more but match the manufacturer's rated brightness and lifespan. High-quality compatible lamps (Philips, Osram, Ushio) cost 30-50% less and are fine for older or out-of-warranty models. Both options carry our 30-day return-visit warranty. We tell you the price difference before you decide so the call stays with you.

  • How long does the lamp swap take?

30-45 minutes on-site. Portable projectors take 30 minutes. Ceiling-mounted units take 45 minutes because we have to remove the mount, swap, test, refit and re-aim. We reset the lamp-hour counter and run a 10-minute burn-in before we hand the projector back.

  • My lamp warning is on but the image still looks fine. Should I replace it?

Plan it before the next critical session. The lamp-end-of-life warning means the lamp has crossed its rated hour-count, brightness will drop another 30% in the last 100-200 hours, and the projector will eventually auto-lock and refuse to start. Replacing on schedule beats a frozen lamp in the middle of a meeting or auditorium event.

  • What should I do if my projector lamp explodes?

Turn the projector off and unplug it immediately, then open a window to vent the room because projector lamps contain mercury vapour. Wait 30 minutes for it to cool. Do not run a household vacuum near the unit. Wear gloves to pick out any visible shards, seal them in a sealed bag, and stop using the projector. WhatsApp us and we'll collect the unit for a mercury-safe internal clean, ballast inspection and fresh module fitment.

  • What are the different types of projector lamps?

Four families. UHP (ultra-high-pressure mercury) is the most common, used in nearly all home, education and boardroom projectors from Epson, BenQ, NEC, Optoma, Panasonic and Sony, rated 2,000-6,000 hours. Metal halide sits in older heavy-duty cinema and rental units. LED light sources (ViewSonic LS500WHE, LG PF series) skip the lamp entirely, rated 20,000-30,000 hours. Laser-phosphor (Panasonic PT-RZ, Epson EB-L, BenQ LK) is the modern boardroom standard, 20,000 hours, instant on, no warm-up.

  • Will replacing the lamp also fix dim image or color shift?

Usually yes. A dim image is 80% of the time a tired lamp. Color shift can be lamp-related (lamp aging unevenly across red-green-blue spectrum) but can also be polariser-yellowing on LCD projectors or a worn color wheel on DLP. We diagnose during the visit and confirm before charging so you don't pay for a part that wasn't the actual problem.

  • Do you stock lamps for Sony VPL, EIKI, Canon LX and Optoma UHD?

We carry the most common Hyderabad models at our Secunderabad store, and source rare modules within 2-7 working days from authorised distributors. WhatsApp the model code so we can confirm parts availability before dispatch. No point making a visit without the right lamp on board.

Image Issues

No display, color wheel, flickering, distortion, haze

The visible problems that bring most customers in. Each symptom has a different cause, and the fix is usually specific.

  • Why does my projector turn on but show no image on the screen?

When the fan and lamp confirm the power stage is healthy but no picture reaches the screen, the fault sits in one of three subsystems: the input board (HDMI / VGA decode), the lamp-shutter or DMD-protect sensor, or the LCD / DLP panel ribbon. Diagnosis on a ₹149 visit narrows it down within 20-30 minutes.

  • My HDMI works on the TV but not on the projector. What's wrong?

Almost always a damaged HDMI socket on the projector side, either a bent pin, a cracked solder joint from inserting the cable at an angle, or a blown HDCP handshake chip on the input board. Repair by socket replacement and reflow runs ₹1,200-₹3,500 fitted with a 30-day warranty.

  • Why is my projector image flickering?

Four causes: lamp end-of-life (slow fade), signal-integrity issues like a bad HDMI cable (fast strobe), DLP color-wheel timing slip (rainbow flicker), or input-frequency lock loss. Each pattern is distinct and the fix is different. Send a clip on WhatsApp and we'll identify the type before the visit.

  • Why is my DLP projector showing rainbow streaks?

Color wheel sync slip. The wheel is spinning at 7,200-15,000 RPM and the formatter chip needs to know exactly when each colour segment is in front of the lamp. When timing drifts, you see brief rainbow stripes especially on motion content. Sync-sensor work runs ₹1,200-₹2,800. The perceptual rainbow some viewers see on healthy DLP units is unrelated and not repairable.

  • Why is there a yellow blob in my projected image?

Polariser sheet burn on the blue LCD panel. Lamp UV bleaches the polariser over thousands of hours and the blue channel takes the worst of it because UV energy is highest at short wavelengths. Polariser replacement runs ₹1,200-₹2,800 per panel and recovers the picture cleanly. Common on 3LCD Epson, Sony VPL and Panasonic units past 4,000-5,000 hours.

  • Why does my projector image look like a trapezoid even though the projector is level?

Auto-keystone sensor failure. Most projectors auto-correct keystone using an internal tilt sensor; when the sensor drifts or fails, the projector applies the wrong correction. Reset is usually ₹1,200-₹2,000 fitted. If the sensor itself has failed, we replace it for ₹2,500-₹4,500. Always prefer physical re-aim over digital keystone correction because digital resampling softens the image.

  • Why has my projector image gone hazy after a humid summer?

Hyderabad summer humidity is rough on lens optics. Moisture migrates between lens elements, dust binds to the moisture, and you get a permanent haze or fungus growth. Caught early, an internal image cleaning (₹799-₹1,500) clears it up. Caught late, once fungus has etched the coating, the lens element needs replacement. Worth catching early before the optical coating is permanently damaged.

  • Can a cracked projector lens be fixed without full replacement?

If the crack is on the protective front glass or dust cover only, yes, we replace the cover for ₹800-₹2,000. If the crack is on the actual optical lens element, no, the optical path is permanently degraded and the unit needs full lens assembly replacement (₹6,000-₹20,000) to recover proper image sharpness and contrast.

  • Can a bad HDMI cable cause projector flicker?

Yes, very common. HDMI 2.0 cables marginal at 4K can pass picture but drop frames every few seconds, which reads as fast strobe flicker. Swapping to a certified cable is free advice and resolves about 1 in 4 flicker calls in our experience. Always test with a known-good 1.5m cable before assuming the projector is at fault.

  • How do I fix projector ghosting?

Ghosting (a faint duplicate image alongside the main picture) is usually a signal-path or cable problem, not a projector fault. Separate your video cable from power cables, swap to a shielded HDMI / VGA, avoid daisy-chaining cheap adapters, and match the source resolution to the projector's native resolution. If ghosting persists with a clean signal, panel mis-alignment on the projector side is the next suspect.

  • My image has visible banding lines during video. What's wrong?

Two common causes. (1) HDMI source-rate mismatch, your laptop is sending 50Hz to a projector that wants 60Hz or vice versa. Check source resolution settings first. (2) LCD panel data-line fault, internal cable or panel developing dead lines. The first is free to fix (settings); the second needs panel work at ₹2,500-₹4,500.

Power & Boot

Won't turn on, ballast failure, auto-shutdown

Dead overnight, won't ignite, resets on its own. The diagnostic path depends on what the unit does in the first 30 seconds.

  • My projector was working yesterday and won't turn on today. What's the most likely cause?

An internal fuse blown by an overnight power surge, very common in Hyderabad. The fix is usually ₹1,500-₹2,500 fitted (fuse plus replacement capacitor plus surge component reset). About 40% of dead-overnight projectors are exactly this. We carry common projector fuses in our toolkit so most cases close on the first visit.

  • How can I tell if it's the lamp ballast or the power supply?

Listen during start-up. PSU failure: completely silent, no LED. Ballast failure: standby LED comes on, fan starts, you hear a click after 5-10 seconds, then nothing. Ballast click means the lamp tried to ignite and the ballast couldn't sustain the arc, which needs ballast or lamp replacement. We confirm with a meter on the visit before charging.

  • Did the recent power cut actually damage my projector?

Likely yes. Hyderabad power cuts are usually accompanied by a voltage spike on restoration; the spike is what damages components, not the cut itself. Common outcomes: blown input fuse (₹1,500-₹2,500), burned rectifier diode (₹3,000-₹4,500), or in worst case ballast burnout (₹4,000-₹8,000). A surge protector after the fix prevents the next round.

  • My projector resets randomly. Is it a motherboard issue?

Usually a power-board capacitor going out of spec under load, not the logic board itself. We test the rails under load on visit and quote based on what we find. Power-board capacitor replacement runs ₹2,500-₹6,000 fitted and resolves most random-reset cases without touching the main logic board.

  • Can a projector motherboard be repaired or does it always need replacement?

Repairable in 70% of cases. Common motherboard faults are blown SMD capacitors, failed SMD transistors, or burned voltage regulator. Chip-level repair takes 5-10 working days at our Secunderabad workshop and runs ₹6,000-₹12,000 versus ₹15,000+ for a new board (where available). We try repair first, swap only if repair isn't viable.

  • Will a firmware re-flash fix my projector?

Sometimes. If the symptom is corrupt menu, locked-out features, or specific service errors that map to firmware, yes. If the symptom is a hardware fault (dead rail, blown capacitor), no, re-flash won't help. We assess at the workshop before quoting. A factory reset alone clears about 1 in 8 no-display calls without opening the casing.

  • Do you handle water-damaged projector boards?

Yes. Ultrasonic clean, isopropyl-alcohol bath, track repair and component replacement. Outcome depends on how much corrosion has set in. We give you a no-obligation assessment within 48 hours of receiving the unit, then quote on what's actually viable to recover.

Cooling & Fans

Overheating, auto-shutdown, fan noise

Cooling failure is the most-common cause of an auto-shutdown. Most of it cures with an internal clean.

  • Why does my projector keep overheating and shutting down?

A projector that auto-shuts after 5-15 minutes is almost always blocked airflow or a tired cooling fan. Dust on the intake filter, dried thermal paste on the lamp housing, and a slowing fan let the temperature sensor trip the safety cutoff at 70-80°C. Our overheating fix is internal cleaning, filter replacement, thermal-paste renewal and a fan check, usually completed in one on-site visit from ₹1,200.

  • How much does it cost to fix a projector that keeps shutting down due to overheating?

₹1,500 to ₹6,000 fitted in Hyderabad, depending on whether it's a cleaning job, fan swap or full thermal service. 80% of overheating cases are cured by internal cleaning plus filter plus thermal paste at ₹1,500-₹2,500. The rest need fan replacement (₹2,000-₹4,500) or full service (₹3,500-₹6,000). ₹149 visit charge, waived if you proceed.

  • Can dust really cause my projector to overheat that fast?

Yes. A 5-year-old projector in a typical Hyderabad office can pull half a teaspoon of dust into the filter every month. After 18-24 months of no cleaning, the filter is so clogged that air can't reach the lamp, which is a 200-watt heater inside a sealed chassis. Thermal cutoff at 10-15 minutes is normal at that point.

  • Why has my projector fan suddenly become very loud?

Three causes account for almost every loud-fan call: bearing wear (whine), dust accumulation on the impeller (rattle), or the rotor touching the housing (grind). All three are wear-and-tear, not user damage. Cleaning fixes the dust case, fan replacement fixes the bearing case. We bring common 40mm, 60mm, 70mm and 80mm fans on the first visit.

  • Is it safe to keep using my projector with a noisy fan?

No. A failing fan means reduced airflow, which means the lamp runs hotter than its safe envelope. A lamp that runs 10-15°C hotter than spec loses 30-50% of its life and can fail catastrophically. Get fan noise looked at before lamp replacement becomes the bigger bill.

  • Do you clean projectors at the customer location or at the workshop?

On-site at your address. Cleaning and thermal-paste work doesn't need our workshop; we open the bottom panel, remove the filter, vacuum the heatsink, swap the thermal paste, refit and burn-in test, all in your office or home in 60-90 minutes. Only board-level thermal-sensor failure needs the workshop.

  • How often should I clean my projector fan?

Boardroom and home-theatre use: once a year. Rental, hotel and education use: every 6 months. Hyderabad's dust load is heavier than most cities, so we lean on the shorter side. The Service Care Pack AMC schedules these visits automatically so you don't have to remember.

  • How much does an Optoma projector lamp cost?

A genuine OEM Optoma lamp module costs ₹4,200-₹10,500 fitted. Common Optoma lamp codes include BL-FU220A, BL-FU260B, BL-FU280B and BL-FU310C. WhatsApp the model number for the exact lamp match and price before we dispatch.

  • How much does a Panasonic projector lamp cost?

A genuine OEM Panasonic lamp module costs ₹4,500-₹15,000 fitted. Common Panasonic lamp codes include ET-LAB80, ET-LAV200, ET-LAL500 and ET-LAEF100. Panasonic boardroom and auditorium units (PT-VMZ, PT-MZ, PT-RZ) sit at the higher end because the lamp wattages run 280W-465W.

  • How much does a NEC projector lamp cost?

A genuine OEM NEC lamp module costs ₹3,800-₹12,000 fitted. Common NEC lamp codes include NP15LP, NP21LP, NP24LP and NP41LP. NEC NP-PA series auditorium projectors take the higher-cost modules; education NP-V and NP-M series sit lower in the range.

  • How much does an Acer projector lamp cost?

A genuine OEM Acer lamp module costs ₹3,200-₹7,500 fitted. Common Acer lamp codes include MC.JFZ11.001, EC.J6900.003, MC.JLR11.001 and MC.JG811.005. Acer projectors are mostly DLP, so a colour-wheel swap (₹2,500-₹4,500) is the other common job after lamp at the 4-6 year mark.

  • How much does an InFocus projector lamp cost?

A genuine OEM InFocus lamp module costs ₹3,800-₹9,500 fitted. Common InFocus lamp codes include SP-LAMP-097, SP-LAMP-094, SP-LAMP-088 and SP-LAMP-103. InFocus also uses 6-segment colour wheels on professional units, so wheel replacement is ₹4,000-₹6,500.

  • How much does a Dell projector lamp cost?

A genuine OEM Dell lamp module costs ₹4,200-₹11,000 fitted. Common Dell lamp codes include 725-10331, 725-BBBR, 725-10134 and 331-1310. Dell projectors are mostly DLP-based, so a colour-wheel replacement (₹2,500-₹4,500) is a common companion service after 5,000-10,000 hours.

  • Are HP projector lamps still available?

Original HP-branded lamp modules (L1700A, L1709A, L1720A, L1750A, L1755A) have been discontinued through HP's spare-parts channel for years. The compatible-lamp market for HP is mature: we source genuine Philips, Osram and Ushio replacement bulbs with the correct ballast match for every HP MP-series, BrightView vp-series, ep-series and xp-series projector. Fitted price runs ₹4,500-₹8,500 with a 30-day warranty.

  • Does LG still make lamp-based projectors?

No, LG moved its projector line to laser and LED only by 2018. Every modern LG unit (CineBeam Q, UST, PF Portable, BU Business) is laser or LED. We don't carry traditional lamp modules for current LG models because they don't exist. For legacy LG units with old lamp assemblies (HF80LA, PA70G era), we source on order; WhatsApp the model code to confirm availability.

  • Why is my LG CineBeam image yellow or greenish?

Phosphor wheel degradation. LG's laser projectors use a blue laser pointed at a spinning phosphor wheel that converts blue light to white. After 4-5 years of heavy use, the phosphor coating ages and the wheel motor slows slightly, throwing the colour balance toward yellow-green. The phosphor wheel is replaceable on most CineBeam units (HU710PW, HU810PW, HU915QE), typically a 1-2 hour bench job once the part arrives.

  • DLP vs LCD: which projector technology is better for my use?

DLP (Optoma, BenQ, ViewSonic, Acer, InFocus, Dell) uses a single chip of up to 2 million micro-mirrors. It gives higher contrast, deeper blacks, sealed optics ideal for dusty rooms, and smaller quieter units. Trade-off: rainbow effect for sensitive viewers, and a colour wheel that wears out after 5,000-10,000 hours. 3LCD (Epson, Sony, Panasonic, NEC, Hitachi, Canon) splits white light through three LCD panels and recombines it. It gives higher colour brightness and sharper text for data and spreadsheets. Trade-off: lower contrast than DLP, and panel polariser yellowing on heavy-use units.

  • Is it worth fixing a 12-year-old HP MP3220?

In most cases, yes. A working HP MP3220 with a fresh compatible lamp, internal clean and thermal-paste renewal will run for several more years and costs ₹6,000-₹10,000 to fully overhaul. A current entry-level business projector with similar specs starts at ₹35,000-₹45,000. The exception is if the DMD chip has multiple stuck mirrors or the optical block has degraded, which can push repair costs above the value of the unit.

Installation & Setup

Ceiling mount, throw distance, screen sizing, AV integration

Brand-new installs and re-installs across homes, conference rooms, classrooms and auditoriums.

  • How much does projector ceiling installation cost in Hyderabad?

₹1,800-₹3,500 for a standard home or small-office ceiling-mount install (mount, cable run up to 5 metres, calibration). ₹3,500-₹6,500 for complex installs with false-ceiling cable runs and AV integration. Auditorium and large-venue installs are quoted on a site visit. WhatsApp the room photo and model code for an estimate.

  • How do I know my room is suitable for the projector I bought?

Send the model code and a photo of the room with rough measurements. We check the projector's throw ratio against your room dimensions and tell you if the screen size you want will work, or if you need a different lens, different position, or different projector. Free advice on WhatsApp before you commit to an install.

  • Should I use lens-shift or keystone correction?

Lens-shift always when available. Lens-shift physically moves the optical path so the picture stays sharp at any position. Keystone correction is a digital correction that resamples the image and softens it, especially at the corners. We set every install on lens-shift and physical position, never digital keystone.

  • Can you install a projector through a false ceiling?

Yes, but the mount has to anchor into the structural ceiling above the false ceiling, never into the false ceiling tiles themselves. We use a drop-rod through a ceiling cut-out, mount above structural concrete or steel, and finish neatly around the cut. Standard work for any office or media-room install.

  • What screen size can I get with my current projector?

Depends on the throw ratio (specified on the projector spec sheet) and the distance from projector to screen. Send model and distance and we'll tell you. Most home projectors do 80-130 inches, boardroom projectors 100-200 inches, auditorium 200+ inches with the right lens.

  • Do you handle motorised screen and blackout blind installation?

Yes. Motorised screen sync with projector power-on (12V trigger or RS-232), motorised blackout blinds for daytime use, and control-panel integration are quoted as part of the AV-integration package, typically ₹3,500-₹6,500 for media-room work.

  • What is an ultra-short-throw projector and do I need one?

An ultra-short-throw (UST) projector sits within 3-12 inches of the wall and still throws a 100-130 inch image, using special offset lenses and mirrors. Standard projectors need roughly 1 inch of distance per inch of image. UST is ideal for small living rooms, tight conference rooms and classrooms where no one can walk through the beam. Cheaper DLP UST units start around ₹85,000; premium laser-phosphor or LCoS UST (Epson EpiqVision, Sony VPL-VZ1000ES, Samsung Premiere) run ₹2-6 lakh.

  • How long does projector installation take?

Standard home install: 2-3 hours on the day. Conference room with AV integration: half day to full day. Auditorium and large-venue: 1-3 days depending on complexity. We confirm the timeline in writing before the install date so AV, electrical and civil work can be planned around it.

  • Do you offer doorstep projector service?

Yes. We dispatch a certified projector engineer to your home, classroom, boardroom or auditorium across 50+ Hyderabad zones, including Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, HITEC City, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Begumpet, Ameerpet, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Uppal and Kompally. Visit charge is a flat ₹149 and is waived if you proceed with the repair.

  • Which Hyderabad areas do you cover?

All 50+ zones with approximate ETAs from Secunderabad: Banjara Hills (20 min), Jubilee Hills (25), Madhapur / HITEC City (30-45), Gachibowli (35-50), Kondapur (35-50), Begumpet (10-20), Ameerpet (15-25), Kukatpally (30-45), Miyapur (40-55), Dilsukhnagar (30-45), LB Nagar (40-55), Uppal (25-35), Kompally (20-35). WhatsApp your locality, we confirm coverage and ETA in one message.

  • How fast can you reach me from Secunderabad?

For priority zones (Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Begumpet, Somajiguda, HITEC City) we usually offer a same-day slot if you book before 2PM. Outer zones (Kompally, LB Nagar, Mehdipatnam, Uppal, Miyapur) typically next-day. Auditorium and school emergencies for next-morning events get priority routing where possible.

  • Do you service auditoriums, schools, event venues and conference rooms?

Yes, this is a big chunk of what we do. School auditoriums, college lecture halls, hotel banquet AV, corporate boardrooms, conference centres and event venues all get on-site service. We also offer AMC plans for institutions with multiple projectors. WhatsApp us with the venue type and projector count for a tailored quote.

  • Can the engineer fix my ceiling-mounted projector at my office?

Yes. We bring a ladder where needed and work with the projector still on the ceiling for routine repairs (lamp, cleaning, calibration). For lens or board-level work we may need to unmount briefly. We refit and re-aim before leaving so the picture lands back exactly where it was.

  • What if the engineer can't fix it on-site?

For board-level repair (motherboard, ballast, lens unit replacement) we collect the projector and take it to our Secunderabad workshop. Workshop turnaround is typically 2-10 working days depending on the fault. Pickup and delivery is free with the repair, and the ₹149 visit charge is absorbed into the repair quote.

  • Is the ₹149 visit charge waived for any zone?

It's the same flat ₹149 across all 50+ zones, from a 10-minute Begumpet visit to a 90-minute LB Nagar visit. No surge pricing for distance, no Sunday surcharge (we're closed Sundays anyway). Service Care Pack subscribers get unlimited zero-charge visits as part of the annual cover.

  • Can I bring my projector to your Secunderabad store?

Yes. Walk into Flat 115, Tirupati Complex, Opp Paradise, MG Road, Secunderabad any time Monday to Saturday, 10AM to 8PM. Workshop bench, parts store and reception are on the same floor. We log the projector at the counter, diagnose, quote on WhatsApp, and call you back when ready. Drop-off avoids the ₹149 visit charge entirely.

Lamp parts are not covered (lamps are consumables with predictable life). Lamp parts at our cost (no markup) under Pro and Business.

  • Does AMC cover projectors at multiple branches across Hyderabad?

Branches in Banjara Hills, HITEC City, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Begumpet etc. all get the same SLA. Outside Hyderabad metro is not covered, ask separately for those locations.

  • How much does a projector cost to rent in Hyderabad for one day?

From ₹1,499/day for a 3,500-lumen standard projector to ₹3,999/day for a 6,000-lumen event-grade Full HD unit. Boardroom 5,000-lumen sits in between at ₹2,499/day. 6,000-lumen event-grade unit (₹3,999/day). For 60-120 audience, the 5,000-lumen boardroom unit (₹2,499/day) is sufficient. Below 60 audience or a small training room, the 3,500-lumen standard (₹1,499/day) is fine. Send the venue dimensions and audience count and we'll recommend the right tier.

  • What if the rental projector fails during my event?

We dispatch a replacement unit within 60 minutes for priority zones (Banjara Hills, HITEC City, Madhapur, Begumpet) and within 90 minutes for outer zones. The deposit and rental fee are unaffected, we absorb the dispatch cost. Failures are rare (every unit is bench-tested between rentals) but the safety net is built in.

  • Can I rent a projector as a backup while mine is being repaired?

Yes, popular use case. If your projector is in our workshop for a 5-10 working-day repair, we can rent you a backup unit at the standard day rate. For Service Care Pack subscribers, the first 7 days of backup rental are free during a repair cycle.

Warranty & Booking

30-day cover, store hours, what to send on WhatsApp, payment

How to reach us, what information to share for the fastest quote, what's protected once the projector ships back.

  • What does your 30-day warranty cover?

30 days from invoice date, covering labour and any part we supplied for the original fault. If the same fault returns within 30 days we re-investigate at no charge, including a fresh on-site visit if needed. Warranty doesn't cover new unrelated faults or physical damage from drops or spills after our service. Lamp warranty follows OEM terms, usually 90 days separately.

  • How do I book, phone, WhatsApp, or form?

Three options. WhatsApp +91 7702503336 is fastest for sharing photos and short clips, reply usually inside 5-10 minutes during working hours. Call +91 7702503336 Mon-Sat 10AM-8PM if you'd rather talk. Or fill the form on /book-your-repair/ and we'll WhatsApp-confirm the slot inside 5 minutes.

  • What information should I send on WhatsApp?

Four things. (1) Projector brand and model code from the bottom sticker, e.g. Epson EB-X05 or BenQ MX535. (2) A clear photo of the projector and the symptom (image, error code, fan, anything visible). (3) A short clip of the issue if it's intermittent. (4) Your area or pin code in Hyderabad. With those four we can ballpark a quote before the visit.

  • How long does a projector repair take?

Lamp replacement, internal cleaning and remote-control fixes are usually completed in 30 to 60 minutes on-site. Color-wheel and fan replacements take 1 to 2 hours. Board-level work (motherboard, ballast, DLP chip) needs the unit at our Secunderabad workshop and typically returns in 3 to 5 working days.

  • Do you work on Sunday or after 8PM?

Sunday the store and dispatch are closed. After-hours and Sunday emergencies (auditorium event the next morning, school assembly, court hearing AV, hotel banquet) we sometimes accept on a case-by-case basis. WhatsApp the urgency and venue type and we'll see if a tech is free. AMC customers get priority routing for emergencies.

  • What are your business hours?

Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Closed on Sundays. WhatsApp messages on Sunday are read first thing Monday morning. Our store address is Flat 115, Tirupati Complex, Opp Paradise, MG Road, Secunderabad 500003.

  • Will my data on USB or HDMI sources be safe during repair?

Projectors are display devices, not storage devices, so there's no internal data to lose. Any USB drive, laptop or media source plugged into the projector should be unplugged and kept with you before we collect the projector for workshop work. We never test using customer media. If you're worried about settings (network, keystone presets), let us know and we'll note them before resetting.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), bank transfer and net banking. Payment happens after the repair is done and the projector throws a clean, bright image in front of you. For AMC and rental contracts we send a GST invoice for accounts processing. No advance payment is collected for routine repairs beyond the ₹149 visit charge.

  • I have a laptop or MacBook problem, can you help?

Projector Repair World is the projector arm of Laptop Repair World, same business, same store on MG Road. For laptop, MacBook, desktop or workstation repair please visit laptoprepairworld.com or call +91 7702503336. The number works for both businesses, just mention what you need so we dispatch the right engineer.
