The Projector Shuts Down Shortly After Powering On.
Possible Answer 1:
The lamp is past its life span and you need to buy a new one. The projector is shutting down to prevent possible damage. If your projector allows you to reset the lamp timer you can do that and buy yourself more time but make sure you get a new lamp soon. See your user guide under lamp replacement and it will tell you if you can reset the timer and how to do that. Be advised some do not allow you to without actually installing a new lamp. Google your projector user guide if you can’t find it.
Possible Answer 2:
The unit is overheating. Check any filters and make sure the unit has good airflow so it can cool down that hot lamp. Make sure nothing is blocking or too close to the vents where the projector blows out the hot air. You need to have a good 18 inches or more of space behind those vents so hot air doesn’t get blown back into the machine.
