Connecting An External Monitor To A Projector
If the external monitor / projector is not automatically detected and displaying an image, you will need to use a function key to enable or activate the function. Laptop manufacturers have different methods to activate an external monitor. Refer to the laptop’s user guide/manual or the manufacturer for instructions to activate the video port for the external devices. If the display is showing then follow the instructions below to set the display settings on the secondary monitor(s).
Display Properties Settings:
- Right-click an empty area on your desktop, and then click Screen Resolution.
- Click the Multiple Displays drop-down list, and then select Extend These Displays or Duplicate These Displays.
If you cannot see the additional monitor(s) listed, click Detect. If it does not work, try restarting your computer and repeat steps 1 and 2.
