Projector Displays A Shadow
Overhead projectors use a bright lamp and mirrors to display text or images from a transparency sheet on a wall or screen. If your projector displays a shadow when projecting, you must troubleshoot the transparency and the projector to determine the cause of the discoloration. The issue could be as simple as adjusting the distance or replacing a faulty transparency. It could also be caused by debris or damage to the lenses, mirrors or stage glass.
1.By Displaying Different Transparencies
Determine if the overhead transparency is damaged by displaying different transparencies on the overhead projector. If the shadow does not appear on other transparencies, you may need to replace the defective sheet.
2.Projector Adjustment
Adjust the distance and the focus of your overhead projector to clear the image and remove any shadows at the corners of the projection
3. Clean the Projector
Clean the stage glass, all mirrors and projection lenses to remove any stains or debris.
4.Replace The Bulb
Replace old projector bulbs if the lamp seems dim or the bulb has not been replaced in a very long time.
Ensure that the stage glass, mirrors and lenses are not damaged. Your machine may need service if these are broken.
